Publisher's Synopsis
The Third Symposium on the Geology of Libya was organized in order to collate original information about the geology of Libya. Over 140 papers were presented at that Symposium, 93 of which form Volumes IV-VII of the Geology of Libya series. These 4 volumes complement Volumes I-III which were published in 1980. This series will be the most comprehensive reference ever compiled on the geology of Libya. It includes new, previously-unpublished data on the geology of the most important basins in Libya and neighbouring areas and deals with the economic aspects of these basins ( oil, water, minerals, etc. ).
