Publisher's Synopsis

Things I Learned from Roland is a collection of musings and passages from The Ledge series of books and it also includes selected poetry and photographs by Richard Curtis Hauschild. Readers familiar or unfamiliar to Richard's novels and/or Wisconsin's beautiful Holyland region will find this book to be a spiritual love letter from the author to his adopted home.
Richard Curtis Hauschild is the author of "The Ledge," "Jersey Flats," "Holyland," "The Book of Roland," and "Hot Moon" among other books. He worked for 19 years in the Hollywood film and music business before moving to Wisconsin and concentrating on writing novels and screenplays. Richard is best known for his "Ledge" novels following the saga of the Heinz/Costello literary family from the Wisconsin Holyland. Richard's books explore the rich, local culture of that area, which is one of the Midwest's best kept secrets. He lives in Stockbridge, Wisconsin.
