Perhaps Emily Jensen ought to have thought before acting upon her frustrations, but what is done is done and a kiss is a kiss. Rather than confessing her mistake and apologizing, Emily gives in to her anxieties and flees at the first opportunity. As it happens, the first opportunity is a starry-eyed angel extending an invitation to accompany him while he searches for a wayward flower from the Tree of Life. Along the way, Emily encounters gods and goddesses she has only read about in books. She has coffee with Apollo, meets a monster older than the earth, and passes through the Gates of Hel. Each meeting teaches her the value of love and friendship. And if she is able, Emily will return from her journey stronger and wiser. That is...if she returns at all.
