Publisher's Synopsis
Truth be told, although I had read about feeding the five thousand, hearing it preached many times all of my life and worst of all, preaching it on at least two occasions myself, I just realized in October 2018 that the "lad" is only mentioned in the gospel of John. I said to myself, WHAT? You have got to be kidding me! Why had I not noticed that before? It was as if the lad started to speak to me one on one. He started sharing his experience and I started sharing my 2018 Christian life experience as a gospel preacher. The big lesson was his spiritual heart. Matthew 5:5 (KJV) Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:8 (KJV) Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Matthew 18:1-5 (GW) 1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" 2 He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3 Then he said to them, "I can guarantee this truth: Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whoever becomes like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me. You can see how a lad=like attitude is not only important but it is a necessity to maintain it serving in the Body of Christ. This is the heart of the message.
