Publisher's Synopsis
In 'There is More to Life' David describes his journey that led to the discovery that the 'Western Paradigm' of materialism did not bring him happiness. However senior in the corporate world he became, however far up the corporate ladder he climbed or how much money he earned, true happiness remained elusive. Even winning a 1.5 billion contract left him feeling empty. This is a challenging story for those who believe in the Western model. David started having spiritual experiences at the age at five but was told they were not real and to ignore them. However in 2000 they started again and over the following 16 years he was shown things the West just doesn't understand. David explains how we've become pre-occupied with wealth and asset collection and how we have lost connection with what we really are, that being multi-dimensional beings with capabilities beyond our wildest imaginations. True, deep happiness can only come from connection to what we are, a soul living a human existence for a reason. David describes his life journey and how the hardest knocks, the most difficult times were purely signposts to allow change in direction and change in direction he certainly made. With each shift he became more aware of source consciousness, more aware of the truth behind our intuition, our gut feelings. In 2014 David followed his intuition and moved to Cusco's Sacred Valley where he finally lost his Western conditioning to work with the plant medicines Ayahuasca and San Pedro. These sacred plants completed a spiritual journey of enlightenment and he describes what they have shown him and how by making some simple changes in our lives we can all appreciate that there is so much more to life than we are taught. David now runs an Ayahuasca and San Pedro retreat in the Sacred Valley of the Inca in Peru. At the age of 63 he discovered what really makes him happy and that's helping others discover the big picture, to discover what life is really all about and that is obviously not money.
