Publisher's Synopsis
Not every person has access to therapy. Not every person may understand what therapy is. Not every person could experience the benefits of therapy. Some can be downward scared to do it. And they have a right to feel that way. The word "therapy" often has a negative stigma attached to it. What if, instead of hearing people talking about how effective it is without knowing what people actually get from therapy, you can see for yourself the lessons that people have learnt in therapy?
As someone who has attended therapy and is now working as a mental health counselor, Bernike is here to share general examples of therapy insights to normalize the experience of therapy and to reduce the negative stigma attaches to it.
These are not long written statements to explain a certain psychological condition. There are other wonderful books on that topic which you can also access on Amazon. This book is simply an account of Bernike's therapy insights during her therapy sessions (the realizations that people would get when they are able to connect their past and present in the hopes of making a more meaningful future).
By the end of Therapy Sessions: The Lessons Learn, Bernike hopes that you can understand more about yourself, have your concerns validated, learn something new, and receiving support (though not directly) by those that have come to therapy before you.
