Dreams are satirical works, written between 1606 and 1621; they are Lucianescan-inspired narratives in which he ironic about various customs, trades and characters of the time. In the Dreams, Quevedo makes a satire of the different professions and social status. Jurists, doctors, butchers, noblemen, poets, astrologers appear, and the work even refers to the bad practitioners of different religions, with allusions to Muhammad, Luther and Judas. The present edition is composed of: "Dream of the final judgment", appeared in 1606; "The demonic bailiff", appeared in 1607; "Dream of Hell", appeared in 1609; "The world from within", appeared in 1612; and the "Dream of Death", which appeared in 1621. The work was collected in a single volume for the first time in 1627.
