Publisher's Synopsis
This work gives and overview of the Yponomeutinae (Lepidoptera) of the World exclusive of the Americas comprising 231 species (including four fossil species) classified in 25 genera. Descriptions and drawings of the genitalia of 22 species are given for the first time. A brief historical overview of the work on the Yponomeutinae, descriptions of the main morphological and behavioural characters are presented. A list of the geographical distribution of the genera and a comprehensive list of host plants exclusively based on information of larval feeding of the Yponomeutinae are given. Keys are included to the genera and to the Yponomeuta species.
