Publisher's Synopsis
The author: grew up in a Washington, D.C neighborhood;
area without much hope nor chance. The writer allowed herself to fight through the struggle of an absent parent, and wounding from the actions of one parent not around. Which allowed certain behaviors from herself as a child. The author understands children have feelings and the adults who raises them. There weren't many families around that displayed ambition or eagerness. Instead, there were several families and friends who showed signals of arrogance and madness. The author became immune through the pain and struggle. However, she allowed herself to navigate her mindset to develop an approach to focus on the importance and the right to make it out.
