Publisher's Synopsis
The Empire of Numenar reigns supreme. The High King Gorlois has defeated the rebellion in Sarmatia and taken the young prince Aemond hostage. The Imperial Army is readying itself to expand the borders, and their enemies are preparing for war. Elsewhere, a dragon named Vaegar has been captured by the Lady of Rhun to be given as a gift to the High King in exchange for peace. Now that he has a chance to escape his confines, Aemond intends to take the dragon for his own and fly away.
