The short notices of the days as they occur have been taken chie?y from Bishop Hobart's Festivals and Fasts, Willi slight additions and alterations, and from the Tract of the Seasons, by the Rev. Dr. Rudd, who kindly encouraged me in the prose cution of the work. I am indebted to the Rev. Dr. Hale for the following letter, which forms an appropriate introduction to the work, and which he has kindly allowed me to use for that purpose.
