Publisher's Synopsis
The year is 2040.
The God Supremes, Svarog and Lada, are gone. Heavens and hells don't exist anymore. In their place is Viray, the realm that was once gods' haven and is now Chort's (aka 'Mr The-Devil's-Got-Nothing-On-Me') playground. Without the Almighties' mojo, chaos is on the rise. The dark force is creeping in, aiming to hit the reset button on the entire multiverse. As Dar Weston's world falls into war, she gets whisked away to another realm. Turns out, she's the last hope in the fight against evil. Life throws her some serious curveballs, pairing her up with Rodney Henderson, a bit of a bad boy wannabe, his moody teen brother, Waif, and... doppelgangers of her deceased pals. The book is a fresh take on the Slavic mythology and a work of fiction, so it is mostly not correct historically. However, it is packed with action and gods and monsters you may have never heard of before. Warning This book contains dark humour, angst, angry deities and monsters, teleportation, time-travel, superpowers, jump scares, catastrophes, slaying in the rain... Go back, there was no rain. But there definitely was blood. Lots of blood. Anyway, the book concludes with a highly satisfying cliff-hanger, but it's quite expected since the second book is coming soon.
