Publisher's Synopsis
This edition of the Bible collection, "The Women of the Bible," features Mary Magdalene, who lived in a village in Magdala, which was located near Capernaum. We learn about the life of Mary Magdalene through the narratives of the evangelists Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John. In this sense, the evangelist Luke expresses in his eighth chapter, verses one through three, that Jesus healed Mary Magdalene during one of his visits to Galilee, stripping her of seven unclean spirits. Her gratitude was so great that this noble woman lodged Jesus and his twelve disciples in her house. Jesus' healing of Mary Magdalene was so great that the evil that dwelt in her body was replaced by the good of the spiritual breath.
