The Witch of Dead Tree Lake is a supernatural horror story set in 1996 that follows three teenage girls as they venture into the rural Lakeside View area of north east England. Katelyn Gosforth, desperate to make friends with Becky Rothbart and Jenny Bradshaw, reluctantly agrees to a summer weekend away to film a student documentary about the cultist followers of Mercusa coven. The cohort of cultists are long rumoured in local folklore to be hidden deep within the woodland of Fairbank Forest and around Caldron Lake, otherwise know as Dead Tree Lake. The teenagers soon learn that the blood cult are not only real, but also very dangerous. Under their psychopathic leader, the coven hide the secrets of Caldron Lake and the truth behind the witch that presides over the devil himself.
