Matthew Dentin becomes stronger with his abilities and is followed by mysterious beings summononed by Onyx a woman who claims to be a wizard. Matthew has feelings for Lydia the cousin of Ajax who was sent on a sabbatical around the world to seek out creatures to inforce the offensive team. Meanwhile, Anubis and Selina have a marrage that is broken from the beginning. As each character fights their obstacle the story concludes with a ghost from the past that will haunt Thaddeus till the day he dies
