Antarctica. When Sym's Uncle Victor says he's taking her there, Sym can't believe her luck. The one place in the world she's dreamed of visiting is finally within her grasp. The frozen landscape is everything she hoped it would be, but as each day passes Victor becomes more and more agitated and erratic. He seems to be losing his mind. If they were anywhere else in the world, Sym could run, could get away, could find some help. But in the icy wastes of Antarctica, nobody can hear your cries.
