Publisher's Synopsis
For Caislean Togalai and his wife, Eagna, the opportunity to live in the ruins of Dunnideer Castle seems like a dream come true. Caislean, a Scottish architect specializing in renovating old castles, has been hired to restore the ancient fort. Caislean enthusiastically moves his entire family into the building while he works on it.
At first, the couple's two children, Chead and Gealai, share their parents' excitement. Gealai feels just like a princess as she works to turn the old castle into a home.
Then, strange things begin happening to every member of the Togalai family. Lights go on in the tower when no one is at home. Everyone hears unintelligible ghostly whispers, and the cellar is always warm. At first, the family tries to come up with rational explanations for these paranormal events. However, as Samhain approaches, the activity grows worse, and soon, bizarre-looking phantasms are appearing and vanishing without warning. Then, Caislean and Eagna fall ill with a mysteriously malady.
There's no doubt that something is haunting Dunnideer Castle. The real question is what these apparitions want with the Togalais-and what the family will be willing to do to rid themselves of these ghostly visitors.
