Her daughter Sarah, willful and beautiful but always haunted by grief and disappointment in those who love her. Charlie, her oldest son. Passionate and wild, cruel and lethal. When he meets Lilus, the daughter of a Texas farmer, she gives him one last chance at redemption, someone who loves him unconditionally and forgives his failings.
