There are many little touches which can be made by an enthusiastic craftsperson for a fraction of the cost of accessories from a bridal boutique. This book contains a selection of projects featuring a wide variety of techniques which can save such a bride a lot of money. The book is divided into sections covering the bride, the bridesmaids, the ceremony, the reception, the honeymoon and memories, with five or six projects for each. For example, the bridesmaid's section includes hair combs, a heart hanger, needlepoint shoe clips, a purse and embroidered hankies, while the bride's section includes a headpiece, beaded applique dress panels, a garter, smocked fan and beaded show clips. A section on techniques at the end of the book covers ribbon weaving, needlepoint and cross-stitch, embroidery stitches, smocking and how to make flower sprays.
