Publisher's Synopsis
Arnold Landon has taken time out to investigate an ancient sea cave on the Northumbrian coast when he gets caught up in violence directed at asylum seekers in a nearby village. Arnold also happens to get involved in the search for a student who disappeared when he was seeking to clear the name of a village man who was rumoured to have been a guard at a concentration camp during WW11. A link between the cave and the mysterious headland of Hades Gate is found and Arnold solves a riddle of the brutal past, bringing it into the murderous present.
