Publisher's Synopsis
Dr Daniel Gregory, a GP in the small market town of Eccleston, is becoming concerned at the frequency of visits by Vanda Struel and her two-year-old daughter Anna-Louise. He worries that something sinister is driving Vanda to his surgery day after day. Distressing developments lead to Daniel's integrity as a doctor, and as a man, being called into question, as the distinction between duty and conscience becomes ever more blurred. With his reputation - and ultimately his life - under threat, he learns that illness is not necessarily illness; love, not always love; and children, not necessarily innocent.
