Bookseller Notes

Scarce. An important book; the author's critique of National Socialism, a 'reborn pagan barbarism' - outlining the threat represented by its ideological opposition to the enlightened values of those countries that would soon be allied against it on the battlefield.Born into a Jewish family in Hungary, but converting to Catholicism under the influence of G.K. Chesterton, Kolnai studied in Vienna but left Austria in 1937 as the Nazis gained control - heading to France and England, and then Canada.
