Publisher's Synopsis

The Vows and The Guns is a Western Romance novel set in Wyoming Territory 1872. Violence and romance are intertwined. Fred, an adopted son whose parents were killed in a massacre, was taken in as a young kid sixteen years ago by the family that owned the largest ranch in the Territory. He becomes the step-brother of the natural son, Steve. Steve, assuming he will inherit the ranch, murders their father and accuses Fred of killing him. Fred goes away before the discovery of the will, to seek a new life and search for the little girl he had promised to marry, when they were both small children. Then Steve finds to his dismay that his father's will leaves the ranch to Fred, who then becomes a wanted man, hunted by the law and by Steve. Will he be able to keep this promise? Or will Steve kill him first? The novel is based on a real life story. The ironic twist: The quest for the boyhood girl friend is repeated in a real life present situation and is the basis for the "Vows."
