In 1958 it was adapted for the television series "Suspicion" as "Voice in the Night." The episode was directed by Arthur Hiller, and starred James Coburn, Patrick Macnee, and Barbara Rush. In 1963 the story was turned into the Japanese cult classic "Matango," also known as "Attack of the Mushroom People." That version was directed by the legendary Ishirô Honda of Godzilla fame.
