Publisher's Synopsis
Lawrence, a seminarian, reluctantly endures life-threatening situations after the murder of his classmate Timothy at the seminary. During a severe Nor'easter on the night of the murder, Timothy begs to speak with Lawrence and reveals that he wrote and hid a diary about a secret society operating in the Vatican. The investigation brings in local and state police, the F.B.I., Interpol, and New Scotland Yard. Lawrence is joined by his friends, who are seminarians of Anglican and Orthodox faiths living abroad. Jesuit assassins attempt to end the boys' desire to avenge their friend and classmate. They shadow the seminarians across three different countries to keep the secret of their society. Under the guidance of their professor Fr. Michael, the boys meet the assassins on November 5 at Midsummer Common in Cambridge, where a firefight occurs during the Bonfire Night celebrations. The outcome will determine the future of the three seminarians and the reunification efforts of their respective religions.
