In the Sheep and Goat there are only two udders, as in the Mare and Ass, but the formation is on the same plan as in the Cow. The udders are somewhat hemispherical and voluminous, particularly in the Goat, and each udder is provided with a single conical, well-detached teat. The cavity or milk reservoir of each teat is very large, the walls of the teat being thin; the milk reservoir is in some in stances capable of retaining nearly three ounces of milk.
