There are two types of people in The New Realm, those who are blessed by the gods of the four elements, and those who are not. Born into this world driven by magical elements and the power of the ones who wield it, Aardriyah has always been of no importance to anyone of importance.
It doesn't help that on the broken island nations of Veros, Aardriyah has been tormented for years due to her resemblence of the sworn enemy to the small minded Verosians - the red hair of a fire blessed. Her whole life she has believed she is unwanted, unloved and unblessed. Always living in the shadow of her powerfully water blessed brother, Prince Chastion - who is every part the hero the world needs him to be and nothing of the brother she remembers him to be.
Not long before her nineteenth birthday, Aardriyah begins having vivd nightmares of beasts and lands so fantastical that not even the most creative tellers of lore could conjure them. At the same time, she discovers she is being hunted by a mysterious robed figure who possesses an otherworldly magic and is seemingly powered by a glowing amethyst eye amulet.
With her elderly neighbour and new found canine friend, our unblessed child sets out on an epic journey to uncover the truth behind her dreams. As she traverses the deepest of oceans, volcanic ash sands of destroyed empires and tunnels of ghost ridden cities, Aardriyah learns that no one and nothing are immune to manipulation, even history.
