Publisher's Synopsis

Maria Castillo's day started out badly; spilt coffee, a flat tire on the way to her first day of work and her employer had misplaced her file. Alex Davis started his day parked on the side of a forest road when his vehicle quit but he got the stubborn engine to restart and raced the clock to the work center. Also hurrying to report, Maria arrived at the work center late. Alex saw the most beautiful woman he had ever set eyes on, his dream girl, but believed she was beyond his reach. Tensions escalate when Alex tries being friendly and Maria vows to destroy his life. But his easy-going disposition finally winning her over a bit, Maria found herself becoming distressingly attracted to Alex, even seeking his company in idle moments. One day, Alex defied the danger of a runaway fire to save them both. Unable to deny her growing feelings, Maria told Alex about her troubled life, opening her heart. Moreover, she wanted to know if someone like Alex to could ever have an interest in a "looser" like her. Stunned at these revelations, Alex found himself facing a dilemma between faith and desire he had never before considered. So with some misgivings, they decided to let their relationship develop and try to work through any problem that arose. Alex started to consider that having a family could be possible with Maria and still allow him to hold faithful to his beliefs. With the inevitable clash of culture and belief, can love really conquer all? Or will eternity be lost forever? The first of three books in the Common Heroes series: A Tyger's Tale. Next: Finding Heaven.
