The tall red and white striped tower had stood on the headland for many years. Through fair and foul weather, it had successfully guided vessels into safe harbours. This, however, was a vicious storm. Could it once again bring frightened and weary mariners to a safe haven? The story is based upon a true incident that occurred in a small community in Newfoundland during the 1930s.
