The Twins Cause Havoc! is sixth in the Strawberry & Cracker, Twins with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome series and focuses on the challenges involved when taking children with a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder on a trip. Strawberry & Cracker live with their grandmother who decides on a day out at the beach. Once there, exhausted from the drive, Grandma unintentionally dozes off in a deck chair. Due to their disorder, the twins require continuous supervision, but when they see Grandma sleeping, they seize the opportunity to let loose, and leave her side to explore the beach. Causing havoc wherever they go, they upset parents and vendors alike who begin a chase to make the twins pay for their havoc. Desperate to escape their pursuers' clutches, the twins place themselves in dire danger by jumping off the pier and into deep churning water. Lucky to be rescued by a boatman who takes them to shore, they then hide from their angry pursuers behind Grandma's deck chair. When Grandma awakes, she is unaware of the havoc the twins have caused while she slept.
