The settings are styled to transition smoothly from harmonizations found in widely used hymnals. Some settings include introductions, key changes, multiple verses and choice of keys. By adjusting tempos and registrations, they are useful during worship as preludes, offertories, postludes, etc., or as mini-etudes for teaching. There are over forty settings based on 32 hymn-tunes. Settings range in difficulty from sight-readable to challenging, with an average difficulty of easy-intermediate.
