This book is in 2 parts. Part 1 is a commentary on Genesis 1-11 which the reader will find to be more complete than most similar works and also somewhat different in interpretation, at the same time remaining theologically sound. Part 2 is a comprehensive study of the 400 years between Malachi and Matthew, the biblically silent years which had a great effect on the setting of the New Testament. There are many institutions in Jesus' time which can only be understood by learning the history of this period. Every Christian should study this section of the book in order to understand the foundations of Christianity's beginnings.
