This is an introduction to bobbin lace by the author of "The Technique of Torchon Lace". Pamela Nottingham explains the basic stitches and techniques and provides a progressive series of patterns to work through, starting with clear geometric shapes which gain in complexity until the reader can master the most intricate and lavish of the traditional designs.;Each stage is accompanied by line diagrams and prickings, while photographs display the finished lace patterns.
