Book Summary Mario is always ready to taste his mother's cooking. In fact, he becomes Mom's best taster. When he tastes his mother's food, he makes different faces that let her know if her food is too salty, too sweet, too sour, too spicy, or just right. His gossiping Aunt Sally hears about the Taste Buddy and decides to tell the whole family about him. When the family comes together for a reunion, they line up to see how the Taste Buddy really feels about their food. They are curious to see what type of face Mario will make when he tastes the dish they are best known for.
