Publisher's Synopsis

The Tannur - This is a fiction thriller novel about extreme terrorists that are bent upon murdering non-believers. Loosely based upon historical facts, the Kharijites were the original Muslim terrorists that lived 14 centuries ago. The story starts when Muhammad unexpectedly dies in 632 AD, and there is disagreement on who the successor for the caliphate should be. Aside from Sunni and Shia preferences, there was a third Muslim sect known as the Kharijites who split off from the Shia. They considered the other two Muslims sects infidels. At the Battle of Siffin in 657 AD the Sunni and Shia negotiated a peace, and the Kharijites believed man should not negotiate major issues. They believed rule only belonged to Allah. He would decide who was right or wrong on the battlefield. The Kharijites were the original terrorists, and eventually had to flee to escape the wrath of the more numerous Sunni and Shia. This story follows the descendants of the Kharijites in the 21st century where they want to employ modern technology to create the "End of Times Battle" from the Quran. In their never ending attempt to eliminate those who do not accept their bizarre dogma, they have developed a dark plan that puts billions of human beings at risk. Only Gordon McNeill's company of former Navy SEALs and Army's Delta force members stand in the way of these deadly terrorists.
