Publisher's Synopsis
In 61 AD Prasutagus, King of the Iceni, died unexpectedly. His will leaving everything to his wife, Queen Boudica, and her daughters Princess Siora and Princess Cyllina, was not recognized by the Romans overseeing the lands of the greater Brittania colony. When Boudica failed to come to an official agreement with the Romans for the future of her kingdom, General Suetonius was sent in to rape the Iceni lands and people for retribution and submission. Boudica and her two daughters fled to the nearby Trinovantes tribe to build their rebellion, but to acquire the resources needed to stave off the Romans would prove to be an uphill battle. Many tribes had already bent the knee to the Roman oppressors, with many more lying scattered and fearful of resistance. While struggling with competing visions for the future of their people, Princess Siora, and her younger sister attempt to forge their own alliances with the druids and soldiers of their lands. Will Boudica and her daughters be able to withstand the might of Rome?
