When Astarte Weaver finds her boyfriend and best friend in her bed, she returns to County Clare in Ireland, a place that holds happy childhood memories, and buys a ruined cottage in an area that the locals call "the Swan Lake." Trying to rebuild her home - and her life - with the help of local builder Flynn, Astarte gradually becomes part of the tightly-knit local community.
