Nicholas Hennessey is depressed. His life is going nowhere. He hates his job selling insurance, going door to door in the worst areas of the city. It's a city he only lives in because of his girlfriend. His best friends are all the way down in London busy having fun. Then his girlfriend dumps him. His world falls apart as he falls into a hole, and only a little excitement and adventure in his life can cure him. But when he witnesses what appears to be a straightforward case of domestic violence, he does something totally out of character and sticks his nose in. Little does he know that this one simple act means his life is about to be turned upside down. Excitement and adventure turn into pain and danger, and soon he's on the run for his life with a mysterious woman, running from a psychopathic French gangster, Interpol, the CIA and an international group of highly connected people who want to rule the world. Nowhere is safe, no one can be trusted and nothing is as it seems. Hennessey must work out who's trying to kill him and why, while his friends and family fight for their lives.
