The contribution of Philip Pouncey (1910-1990) to the study of Italian old master drawings is explored in this catalogue of Italian drawings from the 15th- to the 18th-century. Drawn largely from the British Museum, the great masters such as Michelangelo and Raphael are represented as well as numerous minor artists whose work Pouncey made his particular field of study.
