Publisher's Synopsis

The year is 2400. Global warming has heated the earth to lethal temperatures. Only a group of wealthy, elite White people has survived by stowing away in a massive heat-deflecting dome. As time goes on, the population within the dome begins to grow and scientists attempt to concoct a super powerful melanin solution which may be ingested by the citizens so that they may begin to live outside the dome; but, so far, scientists have been unable to create a solution potent enough. During one of the expeditions outside the dome, a beautiful, Black female--the specimen--is discovered. She is brought to the lab as her DNA may be the key to the project's success. Lucien Montague, a young, White scientist, falls in love with her, and she with him. Lucien discovers that the specimen is a sort of princess to a group of Black people that has survived. The specimen warns that her people will attack the dome if she is not released soon. Will their love survive? Will they survive?
