Publisher's Synopsis
I am Korean American, and I love high-quality sex. This attention-grabbing statement by author Angela Han is one of many you'll find throughout this book, The Sovereign Professional's Almanac: Notes on Reclaiming Your Humanity at Work and in Life.
Sometimes gritty, sometimes thought-provoking, but always real and down to earth, Angela makes you think, ponder, and wonder about the possibilities and opportunities that could present themselves if you only open yourself up to them. This book was written to grab your attention, but in a meaningful way, to help you focus on what matters most to you.As the subtitle says, this book is filled with Notes on Reclaiming Your Humanity at Work and in Life, and is written specifically for the sovereign professional, someone who works on their own terms dictated solely by their unique brilliance, including all the mess we've been taught to be ashamed of. Angela encourages you, the reader, to choose only the parts that are important to you-the parts that remind you of your sovereignty and power-and discard the rest. This book is for people who have a knowing about who they are, what they want to do, where they are going ... but they have been brainwashed to believe that their knowing is false. "The nudging that you get, the drops of intuition that hit you out of nowhere: they are magical fairy dust," writes Angela. "This anthology is written to activate that fairy dust, so the knowing that you have in your mind can fully drop into your body." The Sovereign Professional's Almanac is about being true to who you really are, digging deep to figure out who that is if you don't already know, and letting go of the negative thoughts, judgments, and misconceptions that we've all held onto for most of our lives. Loaded with chapters that are pithy, straightforward, and easy to read, this book is about defining what sovereignty means to you and gives you the gumption to pursue it. About the Author
