Publisher's Synopsis
Miles Conrad succeeds in murdering his rival for the affections of the beautiful Elizabeth. He flees to the Caribbean island of St. Toulouse, pursued by Elizabeth and his miraculously-alive ex-wife Daisy. There they find themselves immersed in an evil miasma of death and doomed love, dominated by a vicious new Voodoo queen. Daisy and Miles find their destinies in the rain forest, one as a nearly wild animal and one in death, while Elizabeth's discovery of evil's existence leads her to love and spiritual renewal.
