This book sings a symphony of beautiful English and Italian Sonnets and raises its voice with Kyrielle Sonnets and Terza Rima Sonnets. It is a collection of sonnets: English (Shakespearean) Sonnets, Italian (Petrarchan) Sonnets, Kyrielle Sonnets, Terza Rima Sonnets and so-called Modern Sonnets. This volume contains a mix of previously published poems from "Blue" and "Liefdeslied", as well as many as yet unpublished pieces.
Of all the forms, the Sonnet is perhaps the author's favorite to wield. Acid and honey drip from his lines in equal measure and you can be sure that each piece is rife with metaphor and allusion.
