Publisher's Synopsis

This book is primarily a commentary on the works of a lesser-known Platonist philosopher called for the sake of convenience as we do not know his real name, Dionysius the Areopagite. The Areopagite amazingly as amalgamated the theology of Judeo-Christianity with the philosophy of Platonism, but Areopagite is telling us the reasoning behind his demonstration is that they are the same philosophy.Platonism naturally includes Homer, Orphic, Chaldean, Pythagorean, Egyptian and not least Socratic philosophies. Once you make the mental transition you can find certain parallels within Plato's Socratic dialogues with the Old Testament that stand out like thorn in eye.Which is why I have named the Areopagite the Socratic Lawyer, our judge is also in alignment with the Gospel author John, which presupposes John is a Platonist philosopher. Therefore, a great deal of the content of this book explores the Gospel of John in a Platonist context
