Publisher's Synopsis
The growth health centers have accomplished forces us to change the way we think. For many years we were Mom & Pop type of business; now we are large multimillion-dollar corporations. My board Treasurer keeps reminding us of this and to think like the organizations we have become. Being a health center board member I also have a day job. A part of my day job is an author. When I was writing a chapter for my last book, "Journeys to success, 21 empowering stories based on the success principles of Napoleon Hill," I had an AH HA moment. Reviewing these principles, it hit me like a brick these same principles not only affect my personal life but that applying these to the health center board as a whole contributes to our success. This revelation made me examine some of the health centers both successful and not as successful. What makes some centers successful while others don't reach that level? My findings were that those that do not reach high levels of success are not applying the success principles. We as a health center movement are only as successful as the weakest center. That's why; I felt that this information needed to be shared. My goal for this book is it that it serves as another tool assisting to raise all health centers to high levels of success. Throughout the pages you will find discussion on these principles, their meaning and how they can be applied to our work as boards of directors. You can also think about how they apply to you as an individual and your life in and out of the health center movement.
