If you are going to write a review, please make sure that it is fair, accurate and free from personal animosity or vendettas. It seems silly to give any book a one star when you are also crediting the author with coining a term to describe an ability that no one on the planet is trying to define or describe and then complain that the author hadn't explained or defined such a concept thoroughly. A term and concept, keep in mind, that the author doesn't have the ability to sense obviously considering he is an aphant, aphantastic or however else you want to describe a person with the inability or condition. Though, if we have learned anything about disabilities and conditions in society, we should recognize the "issue" as an anomaly before we go around labeling people. The author clearly understands the secret of unicorns and how important they are to understanding the way a person thinks and feels using their ability of Mental Sensory Perception. Actually, It is quite simple to understand. Picture a unicorn and then ask yourself; why did you choose those colors and where did that background come from? The answers tell you everything you need to know about how you are thinking and more importantly, how you are feeling about your life. As far as donating proceeds to charity. Well, anyone that purchased the book wouldn't know that fact until after they read the book considering it is a fact delivered in the afterword, after you had paid me money. It wasn't a selling point for the reader to buy my book, it was an after thought about what I was doing with my time and money in the NOW. But since the reviewer found it necessary to explain that the author was homeless, another fact that the reader could gather themselves when they read the first few paragraphs for free in the preface, and again, not intended as a selling point, but it does make you wonder why a reviewer would add that to a review. Almost sounds like shaming or bullying. Anyway, my moment of homelessness was referenced to explain the timeline and journey I had been on up until the very morning I learned of my own aphantasia, which as the book explains, was a remarkable life altering moment, but not unlike anyone else that wakes up and finds out they have been missing a critical component in their minds that pretty much everyone on the planet has the ability to sense. With that said, following my own recovery, I decided that I would be an advocate for people in need of homes and support the issue of homelessness by creating a program that provides individuals with the opportunity to make positive change in a healthy supportive environment dedicated to the forward progress for everyone in my community.
