Publisher's Synopsis
For every book that is published about the Mughals, there is hardly a page that gets written about the Sultans of Delhi. Not that the latter were insignificant individuals, not all of them at least - not Alauddin Khilji by any means. So long he lived, success attended him in everything he did. But once he died, to oblivion he was consigned. It's about time we exhume the Khilji king from the abyss of obscurity and return to him his rightful place in Indian History - and it is precisely with this intention in mind that this particular book has been penned.
