Publisher's Synopsis
This is a message poem (Dutakava) in the tradition set by Kalidasa's famous Sanskrit Poem Meghaduta. It is composed in Apabh-ramsa. It describes the long-desired reunion of separated lovers. The translation is true to the context. The messenger poem is inherently pathetic and ironic, but against it Samdesarasaka is parodic and diverges from the tradition of Meghaduta.
