Publisher's Synopsis
Amongst the decisions attending the founding of a new Lodge, there are few things which require, or receive, more care and consideration than the choice of its name, for, as well as due weight being given to all local factors and preferences, it is always realised that the name chosen will not only endure as long as the Lodge itself shall survive, but that it will be written and spoken and thought about more often than can readily be estimated. The final choice is always made with infinite care.
It is, therefore, all the more significant that over the past almost three hundred years, one quarter of the Lodges in the Province of North Wales should seek perpetual dedication to one or other of the myriad of Saints whose associations are to be found spread throughout the Principality. In this little book, W.Bro. the Reverend Chancellor J. H. Williams, and W.Bro. W. Owens, furnishes us not only with a note on the life and career of each of the twenty four Saints whom we seek to honour by association with our Lodges; they are also able in delightful and dextrous fashion to seek to point out the way in which this association is peculiarly appropriate to our Craft. We hope this book will be a valuable resource for anyone wishing to research the Freemasonry in North Wales. Profits from this book are going to charity.
