Publisher's Synopsis
The story centers on the struggles of just graduated journalist, Marie Brantelle, and the efforts she is exerting to open a few doors in the ravaging world of news writing. A tough call in itself, and more so because she is trying to balance her family's troubled past, an arranged marriage she's been shunning away since her late teens, and her younger brother's run with the wrong crowd; the latter foreboding enough to turn her whole life into the headline of the day, thus destroying her career before landing her very first job.
